Still not finding the answer to your question? Feel free to reach out to us; we're happy to assist.
Unfortunately, no. We understand the benefits of bringing a beloved pet to therapy; however, we have to maintain a safe environment for everyone. Due to allergies, anxieties, and different ways that this could impact others we cannot allow pets to be brought in. ADA compliant animals with a state registered ID badge are allowed.
Requests for specific mental health/therapy records can be done by completing a Medical Request Form (found below) and emailing it to firstname.lastname@example.org. All medical records will be released in compliance with HIPAA. Please Note: Parents cannot request medical records for adult children without a proper Release of Information on file signed by the adult child.
We have clinicians who accept the following insurance: Aetna, Ambetter, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Health Care. There are some third party administrators who utilize these networks that we would also be able to bill as in-network. Please understand that it is your responsibility to verify outpatient mental health coverage.
Every insurance plan is different on what they will reimburse. We can offer you an estimate on what you owe; however, once processed it may differ from what the insurance says that you owe. By calling the number on the back of your insurance card, you can request coverage details for outpatient mental health services. Your responsibility lies in paying deductibles, copays, and coinsurance fees; irrespective of what our estimated cost reflects.
No, not necessarily. Our graduate interns are not able to bill any kind of insurance policy and solely work off of a sliding fee scale. Provisionally licensed clinicians are able to bill some insurances under their direct supervisor. And fully licensed clinicians have independent contracts with each panel they choose to accept. It's important that you verify insurance benefits before scheduling with a new therapist, or transferring services to a new therapist.
As of January 1, 2024 CMS Medicare laws go into effect that allow Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to bill Medicare. Osage Valley Counseling will not be pursuing new contracts with Medicare; however, we are already contracted with United Healthcare (UHC), therefore, we will be considered in-network with their Medicare plan as well.
The only Medicaid plan that we are in network with is UHC Community Plan. We are not in network with state funded Medicaid, Home State Health, or Healthy Blue.
Yes. You are able to utilize EAP for counseling sessions. We require a formal authorization letter from the employer prior to scheduling. We cannot accept an informal text/email from you simply stating the authorization number.
You have a right to safe and supportive counseling services, and we want to ensure that this is your experience with us. It's important to understand that not every therapist will be a good fit for you depending on their style and approach, personality, etc. You can request to transfer to a new therapist at any time; or you may choose to pursue services outside of Osage Valley Counseling. We can assist with this transition, if necessary, and offer referrals. We respect and support whatever decision you make. You can talk with your therapist to resolve the issue or reach out to our owner directly at email@example.com. In addition, if you would like to just provide feedback, you can do so anonymously via our Satisfaction Survey by clicking HERE.
