"I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship." -Brene Brown
"This quote truly captures what a therapeutic relationship entails. Connection is about being vulnerable and creating a space for others to be vulnerable, and with that comes strength. I strive to emphasize building the therapeutic relationship in an effort to genuinely understand an individual's story. My professional values align with the National Association of Social Work's (NASW) core values which are: service, social justice, dignity, the worth of a person, the importance of human relationships, competence, and integrity. I implement these values into my practice by maintaining a person-centered mindset".
