Christian Willis, Graduate Intern

Christian is a graduate-level counseling intern currently pursuing his Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Missouri Baptist University. He has a background in education, having spent several years as a teacher and coach, and he brings the same passion for learning and growth to his clients that aided him in the classroom.
"My primary goal as a counselor is to work with my clients to create a safe space where they feel understood, accepted, and empowered to make decisions and take charge of their mental health journey. Taking those first steps to improving yourself can be scary, but together we will build your courage to take the next step, and the next, and the next. I believe in people's ability to grow and to do good in their community, and I hope to instill that same belief in my clients."
Christian is passionate about working with people from all walks of life, especially members of the LGBTQ+ community, students, and those who work in helping professions. He is incredibly excited to work with and learn from such a knowledgeable group of counselors in a setting that is highly focused on helping individuals navigate and process trauma.
