JoJo is a passionate, and empathetic, registered dietitian committed to transforming lives through a holistic approach to health. With a firm belief in the "Health at Every Size" paradigm, she advocates for a weight-inclusive and compassionate approach to wellbeing.
In every session, JoJo goes beyond conventional nutrition counseling, placing a strong emphasis on fostering a positive and healing relationship with food. Understanding that each individual's journey is unique, she tailors nutrition guidance to empower clients to make choices that align with their body's needs and preferences.
What sets JoJo apart from others is the integration of trauma-informed principles into every interaction. Recognizing the profound impact that trauma can have on one's relationship with food, she creates a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their nutritional needs with sensitivity and understanding. Not stopping at individual sessions, JoJo is the visionary behind the "Eating for Trauma Recovery" group therapy program. This innovative initiative provides a communal space for survivors of trauma to come together, share experiences, and receive specialized nutritional support. Through a combination of evidence-based nutritional guidance and trauma-informed care, the program aims to facilitate healing and empowerment on the journey to recovery.
JoJo received her Bachelor's of Science and Master's of Science in Nutrition and Physical Performance from St. Louis University. She completed her dietetic internship with an emphasis in nutrition and physical performance. JoJo has a history of working with individuals struggling with eating disorders at all levels of care, as well as working with individuals who have a history of psychological trauma. In addition to being a Registered Dietitian, JoJo is a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine.
