"Prior to working in private practice, my professional background includes experiences in the Victim Services Unit for the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's office, as well as the outpatient department for Hyland Behavioral Health. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with individuals facing various challenges related to trauma, grief, depression and anxiety. My therapeutic approach implements evidence-based interventions drawn from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). These two models of therapy enable me to empower you with essential skills, normalize emotions and feelings, and effectively address concerns and worries."

Kitty holds a Master's of Education in Counseling from the University of Missouri - St. Louis, as well as a Master's in Legal Studies from Webster University. With an impressive background spanning over 25 years, Kitty has specialized experience working with adolescents and their families. Her expertise goes beyond this as she has demonstrated her ability to successfully support individuals from all age groups. Kitty is part of our Adherent DBT Program where she co-facilitates groups that cater to adolescents and adults, further enhancing evidence-based services available through Osage Valley Counseling.
